The Howard Pyle Festival
Cape Henlopen State Park
September 17, 2000

As one might suspect from the name, this festival was a
celebration of the famous American painter Howard Pyle.
Pyle painted many historical themes, some of his most famous being
of pirates. It was here, at these very beaches, that Pyle, while
on holiday, took his inspiration for many of his piratical paintings.
