While Cherrystone Campground is a nice place to visit, Kiptopeke is a Virginia State Park.
There seems to be potential here.  Not only is the site next to the water, with a decent beach, the area is really
close to the mouth of the bay.  Why is that important?  Because, in late summer of 1717, Teach and Hornigold
careened their ships somewhere in the vicinity of Cape Charles (ref: Pirates on the Chesapeake).
